Healthy Snacking

Hello, this is your Reading, MA Chiropractor, Dr. Anne Marie Marcellino

Hey Everyone!

With the Red Sox in the World Series, and the Pats season in full swing, we are most likely finding ourselves snacking in front of the TV a little more often than usual these days!
Instead of reaching for the chips, soda and other junk food, why not fill your plates with some lean meats, fresh fruits and veggies? You will feel so much better, and if they lose (which of course they will not!) it will be so much easier to get out of bed and face the next day!
GO SOX!!!

Fill Your Plate Challenge

Hello, this is your Reading, MA Chiropractor, Dr Anne Marie Marcellino

Hi Everyone! This is just a reminder that the next challenge, “Fill Your Plate,” opens tonight at our health talk at 7:15. The ultimate goal is to have 50% of your plate to be water based food such as fruits and vegetables. This in turn will help you to have more energy, lose weight, and stay healthy throughout the Fall and Winter seasons.

Each week the challenge will be to add more water based foods to your plate. For this week, your task would be to observe how much of the food on your plate is water based.

Please email us if you are interested in participating in this new, fun challenge!

Our Next Challenge: “Fill Your Plate”

Hello Everyone!

Wanting to Lose Weight? Wanting to Have More Energy? Hoping to Stay Healthy This Fall and Winter?
Our next challenge is to help you to get water based foods such as fruits and vegetables into your diet.

Starting October 22nd and running through Thanksgiving, we will be encouraging all participants to increase their daily intake of fruits and vegetables. We will be opening this challenge at our Health Talk on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 7:15. This challenge will be called “Fill Your Plate”.

The average person consumes less than 10 percent of fruits and vegetables with each meal. The goal for the first week of the challenge, October 22nd, is to become aware of the percentage of fruits and vegetables on your plate. Is it 10%, 20% or more? Each week we will be challenging you to gradually add more water containing foods to your plate and less of the other stuff. The ultimate goal is 50% of your plate being water containing foods = fruits and vegetables for benefits like stronger immune systems, weight loss, disease prevention, and more energy.

We hope you will join us for this next fun challenge!!
