Fill Your Plate Challenge

Hello, this is your Reading, MA Chiropractor, Dr Anne Marie Marcellino

Hi Everyone! This is just a reminder that the next challenge, “Fill Your Plate,” opens tonight at our health talk at 7:15. The ultimate goal is to have 50% of your plate to be water based food such as fruits and vegetables. This in turn will help you to have more energy, lose weight, and stay healthy throughout the Fall and Winter seasons.

Each week the challenge will be to add more water based foods to your plate. For this week, your task would be to observe how much of the food on your plate is water based.

Please email us if you are interested in participating in this new, fun challenge!

Our Next Challenge: “Fill Your Plate”

Hello Everyone!

Wanting to Lose Weight? Wanting to Have More Energy? Hoping to Stay Healthy This Fall and Winter?
Our next challenge is to help you to get water based foods such as fruits and vegetables into your diet.

Starting October 22nd and running through Thanksgiving, we will be encouraging all participants to increase their daily intake of fruits and vegetables. We will be opening this challenge at our Health Talk on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 7:15. This challenge will be called “Fill Your Plate”.

The average person consumes less than 10 percent of fruits and vegetables with each meal. The goal for the first week of the challenge, October 22nd, is to become aware of the percentage of fruits and vegetables on your plate. Is it 10%, 20% or more? Each week we will be challenging you to gradually add more water containing foods to your plate and less of the other stuff. The ultimate goal is 50% of your plate being water containing foods = fruits and vegetables for benefits like stronger immune systems, weight loss, disease prevention, and more energy.

We hope you will join us for this next fun challenge!!

Chiropractor Reading MA Alive and Well School Countdown Chemicals and Cancer

One of the greatest things you can do as a family is to decrease the chemical exposure in your household. Did you know that the average newborn has over 300 chemicals already in them? Can you imagine what our toxic overload is as an adult! The best cleaners and disinfectants are the one’s that were used back in the day: vinegar, lemon, baking soda, and my personal favorite tea tree oil. They are inexpensive and work really well. Keep your kids and yourself as chemical free as possible.

Chiropractor Reading MA Alive and Well School Countdown Sugar Consumption

Sugar lurks in almost everything that is packaged or fast. It puts a toll on your immune system which makes you more vulnerable to invading organisms like bacteria and viruses. That is why most people get sick in the fall and winter months when our sugar consumption is at its highest. This article showed some alternatives to sugary drinks and snacks. It will hopefully inspire some creativity and get you thinking of ways to decrease your family’s overall sugar consumption. The “Nice Cream” sounds pretty good.

Have a great day and enjoy the article!
